Major Duties:

· Provide with children who are in foster care with LifeBooks to assist in helping them gain an understanding of being in care.

· Meet weekly with child and work on the Lifebook and issues that arise. Meet with the foster parent to discuss what comes up in the Lifebook if necessary.

. Provide educational materials and information concerning kingap and adoption

Discuss, as child understands, what adoption and/or kingap means and respond to questions

· Develop resources and linkages to meet the family's needs.

· Work with child to understand parents' role in kingap and adoption

· Collaborate and coordinate with other EFFC Case Planning team responsible for the children intern in working with, and plan together for child to best understand current life situation.

· Attend continuing education workshops and trainings.

· Perform statistical, narrative and record keeping duties as required.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree required.

· Must have experience working with children.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Must be able to work cohesively as part of an inter-disciplinary team.

· Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based and/or youth development perspective.
