The Summer Camp SYEP Staff supports and assists staff in carrying out all planned educational and enrichment activities for the summer camp enrichment and recreational program.

Major Duties:

• Assist the group leader with engaging activities, including sports and recreation, educational, arts and craft and special events

• Supervise participants throughout summer camp program

• Distribute snacks and assist with clean-up

• Assist with monitoring and maintaining the rules of the program and upholding the summer camp model

• Collaborate with group leader to ensure a safe and supportive environment.

• Follows all GSS, DYCD, DOE and SACC regulations.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Assists with support with trips

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate reliable and consistent work habits, and ability to work with other youth.

• Must be available during the program hours listed above.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability and willingness to work in a dynamic team environment.

• Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based and/or youth development perspective.
